No. Einstein lived and died as a Jew. He never converted or considered converting to Islam and was precariously close to being an Atheist (and a number of Atheists claim him as well). He was also a noted Zionist who spoke on numerous occasions on the behalf of Jewish Interests in Mandatory Palestine.
The "controversy" comes from a claim was made by Ayatollah Mahdavi Kani, head of Imam Sadeq University and the Assembly of Experts in Iran, a powerful organization that is heavily influential in leading Iran. He wrote on his blog that Einstein founded his idea of relativity from learning of the Mir'aaj (Muhammad's miraculous ascendance to heaven and back) and therefore converted to Shiite Islam. Of course, this is nonsense and, even if the Mir'aaj was the inspiration for relativity (which is quite probably not the case), it is a non-sequitur to say that Einstein therefore converted to Shiite Islam. This is much more in response to the increasing pressure Iranians are placing on their government to become less religious, i.e. a proof that Shiite Islam provides science, by crudely and falsely manipulating history.
No, Albert Einstein was not a Muslim. He was born to Jewish parents in Germany and later became a theoretical physicist known for developing the theory of relativity.
There is no record for Einstein accepting such a thing I tried to google it and I am a muslim, and for sure this would have been a topic in any of my days, If it was true!
