The hardness of heart, or a lack of empathy and compassion, can contribute to the decision to pursue divorce by making it difficult for individuals to work through conflicts and communicate effectively in their marriage. This can lead to a breakdown in the relationship and a desire to end the marriage rather than putting in the effort to resolve issues.

Although divorce is not strictly forbidden in Christianity, and Mosaic Law allowed for divorce in cases of infidelity, Christ suggests a different model--one of fidelity, with forgiveness:"Have you not read that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate."(Matthew Ch 19)Which does not forbid divorce, but demands that we understand marriage in a spiritual, and not just a legal perspective; and requires that we understand that 'hardness of heart' plays a role.
Only you can know the answer to this. You need to have a heart to heart talk with your spouse and try to talk things out. Don't be critical though.
Nobody does

The Pharisees were asking Jesus about divorce. Jesus refused to be drawn into the rabbinical controversy over the possible valid basis for divorce. Jesus pointed out that the permission of Deut. 24:1-4 ("because he hath found some uncleanness in her") was not God's original intent. Divorce was permitted only because of "the hardness of your heart." Then Jesus went back to God's original intent in Genesis 1:27; 2:24, permanent monogamy: one man and one woman together for life.
The decision is yours. Follow your heart.
