God sent His servant John the Baptist to baptize His Son so that John could help prepare the way for Salvation. John the Baptist laid his hands on Jesus in the Jordan River. It was one Man's righteous act, which took away ALL the sins of humankind. Jesus took away ALL the sins of this world by being baptized. Jesus gave His life on the Cross for the wages of sin. He paid the wages of sin with His death on the Cross. Our sins were passed onto Jesus at his baptism and he was judged and executed on the cross instead of us for those sins. If Jesus Christ had not been baptized by John the Baptist, we could not but remain as sinners and be lost.

In the Old Testament God commanded Moses to ordain his brother, Aaron, the first High Priest, to lay hands on the head of a sacrificial animal (goat), and confess the horrific sins of the children of Israel and their transgressions. (Isaiah 53:3-5) Afterward the goat would bear and carry the iniquities and transgressions of the Israelites upon itself and send it away by a suitable man who was to release the goat into the wilderness. (Leviticus 16:21-22) John the Baptist laid his hands on Jesus' head in the same like manner shortly before His public ministry. In order for Jesus to take away ALL the sins and transgressions of the world, He was willing and humbled to be baptized by John in this manner.

(John 1:29) "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."

yes, by John the Baptist (Matthew 3:13-17) When Jesus asked John to baptize Him, John was surprised and said, "I need to be baptized by You! And you're coming to me?!" Who batizied Jesus?

The Person who baptized Jesus was John the Baptist( Jesus' cousin) and when John baptized Jesus, God, His father came from heaven and told the people who Jesus was ans what he would do. God is the only real God who is Jesus' father and who is also Jesus Christ. its a bit confusing :) but Jesus Christ is the only true God and if you don't believe in him and ask him into your life then you may not live in eternity. Do you have to be saved or baptized for your prayers to be answered?

No. ANSWER: God has no reason to answer an unbelievers prayer UNLESS it is a prayer for salvation. After salvation God will answer your prayers. You do not have to be baptized to have your prayers answered. Your prayers are addressed to God in Jesus' name. If you do not belong to God through Jesus Christ God will not hear you.

What was Jesus' reply when John the Baptist baptised him?

First, Jesus asked John to baptize him, and John basically said that Jesus should be the one doing the baptizing here. Jesus persisted, so John baptized him, and the Heavens opened up and God said, "he is truly my son" or something to that effect.
