Science says that when we die, that is the end. It does not attempt to determine whether there is an afterlife, and is neutral about belief in heaven or hell.
Religion asserts that we have a soul. The Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) say that the soul goes to heaven after the end of our earthly life. Some other religions say that we are reincarnated until we achieve perfect knowledge and godness, then we go to paradise and live among the gods.
Philosophy is still discussing the end of life.
Philosophy is the study of fundamental questions about existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language. It focuses on critical thinking and reasoning. Philosophy can interact with science by offering ethical, metaphysical, and epistemological perspectives on scientific discoveries. It can also engage with religion by examining the philosophical implications of religious beliefs and doctrines.
Philosophy of life constitutes one of the most important pillars of life studies. The fundamental task of philosophy of life is to think deeply about the question, "What is life, death, and nature?" Philosophy of life was a major branch of philosophy in ancient times in Europe and Asia, but it seems to have almost completely disappeard from contemporary philosophy. There is no entry on "philosophy of life" in major encyclopedias. Interest in bioethics, end of life care, and environmental issues has nevertheless been growing rapidly. It is now time to reconstruct philosophy of life as a branch of contemporary philosophy

Science tells us (or tries to find out) how the universe and everything in it works. That includes YOU! Science will ultimately tell us how (philosophy asks "why"): ...the universe came into existence ...it will end ...life evolved etc. etc. If that's not important to know then you should question your own existence first!

The Hindu religion and Buddhist religion all believe that. Yes, the Buddhist faith believes that life does not end with the physical death.
No matter you agree or disagree with a religion or philosophy the United States constitution guarantees the freedom of religion. Unless they break laws they can worship anyway they wish.
In Australia (as it stands at the moment) people are free to practise any spirituality, religion, philosophy, etc they choose to, as long as it does not restrict or violate the state or federal law. The terms spirituality, religion and philosophy covers Religion, Non-Religion, New Age Religions and other spirituality and philosophies such as Scientology. It is impossible to have a fair and reasonable society if there is no freedom of religion or for that matter if religion plays a part in the government of a nation. To this end the constitution of Australia guarantees freedom of religion or no religion.
"logy" means the science of. Like take Biology for instance... the beginning, bio meaning life; and the end, logy meaning the study of... so biology is the study of life.
Judaim does not teach that we are not aiming for something specific at the end of our lives. Judaism is a religion of life, and focuses on making the world a better place.
