Agnosticism means believing that we, as humans, cannot with our given knowledge, prove that there is a god or not. Gnosticism translates to "'I can prove factually that there exists or does not exist a god," whereas agnosticism translates to "I cannot prove that there exists or does not exist a god."
This is on a different axis than theism/Atheism, which is purely a judgement call; you believe G-d exists or not.
Agnostic Judaism can be one of two things: agnostic theist or agnostic atheist. In the first example, one cannot prove the existence of G-d but believe and follow Jewish tradition or have a Jewish mother. In the second example, cannot prove that there is a god, doubt there is one, but still follow Jewish tradition (yes atheists can do this) or have a Jewish mother.
This leaves four types of Jew, as with any religion: agnostic theist, agnostic atheist, gnostic atheist, and gnostic theists. Do note that both axes are a continuum, such as atheist/theist representing a wide range of doubt and not necessarily impacting whether one thinks humanity lacks proof or not.
No, he calls himself agnostic.
Of course, why not. But are you sure that you are an agnostic? For example most deeply religious observant catholics would consider themselves agnostic. Indeed, being an agnostic is an important aspect of being a devout Christian or Jew. So by stating that you are "agnostic" is not saying much.
Joey jordison is not a Jew he is christian but his religious beliefs are little different according to me he is agnostic.
Spielberg is Jewish but a distinction between cultural and theistic Jews should be made. He described his family as "store front Jew's" as they kept up appearances for their Jewish communities. It is likely Spielberg is a cultural Jew and if not atheist then possibly agnostic.
It depends on the nature of the "non-believer". A non-Jewish person is called a Gentile or Goy (גוֹי), but gentiles are NEVER referred to as "non-believers". Unlike other religions, Jews do not assess the beliefs of non-Jews, (or regard them as believing less than what Jews believe). If the non-believer is a Jewish heretic, the person is usually called a Kofer or Apikorus, but these terms are only used among Orthodox Jews. Non-Orthodox Jews shy away from the concept of heresy, and would generally use the terms of their native language, such as "cultural Jew," "Humanistic Jew," "Secular Jew," "atheist," or "agnostic". The Hebrew equivalents of these phrases are: humanistic Jew: "yehudi hoomanisti" (יהודי הומניסטי) cultural Jew: "yehudi tarbutí" (יהודי תרבותי) secular Jew: "chiloní" (חילוני) atheist: "ah-teh-eest" (אתאיסט) agnostic: "kofér" (כופר)
A "Constructional Jew" is a Jew who's constructed to be a Jew.
No, she is an agnostic.
yes she is the biggest jew in jew beliefs
It's a little of both. The term "Jewish" can refer to either ethnicity or religious belief. There are certainly people who consider themselves to be Jewish in terms of ethnicity, but either agnostic or atheist, and also people who consider themselves to be both Jewish (by descent) and Christian (by religious preference).
yep, she's a Jewish jewdy Jew (Jew)
Agnostic Front was created in 1980.
