People, especially Catholics, go to Mass for several reasons:

>It is Christ's wish that we eat His Body and Blood and this is received normally at Mass.

>The Mass is the sacrifice of Calvary done again though in an unbloody manner; Catholics flock to it to better receive the graces of the crucifixion which are properly given through the Mass

>Holy Mass is the most powerful Catholic prayer since Christ is there both as priest and victim

>Holy Mass is the most perfect prayer, offering as it does the four ends of all prayer towards God: adoration, Thanksgiving, petition and reparation

>Sunday is a holy day of obligation, which means all Catholics, who are able, must attend Mass. One may attend on weekdays according to availability and piety.
