One day, as Jesus was starting His journey to Jerusalem, He came to a village. He met ten men who had a terrible sickness called leprosy. In those times, people who had leprosy had to stay outside the village so others would not catch their sickness. No doctor could heal them. These men knew that Jesus could perform miracles. They begged Jesus to heal them, crying, "Have mercy on us!" Jesus did not touch them. He simply told them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." The priests would tell them if they would be allowed to go home again. As the men left, full of joy, to see the priest, they were healed! They believed that Jesus could heal them. The Son of God showed His amazing love and power to these men by taking away their sickness! One of the ten men turned and came back to Jesus. He came to thank and praise Jesus for the miracle of his cure. The man fell down before Jesus to show his thanks. Jesus asked, "Were not ten men healed? Where are the nine?" The other nine only thought of their newly healed bodies. The one who came back knew that Jesus had come to heal the world of it's greatest sickness - sin. Jesus saw the man's faith in Him. Jesus said to him, "Your faith has made you well." Luke 17:11-19

They were the lepers.
That out of the ten lepers only one came back to thank Jesus
The Bible does not provide the names of the ten lepers who were healed by Jesus in the Gospel of Luke (17:11-19). The account focuses on their condition and the healing they received, particularly highlighting the gratitude of the one Samaritan leper who returned to thank Jesus. Their anonymity emphasizes the universal nature of Jesus' compassion and healing.
the lepers
Lepers. Lepers were outcasts because of the disease leprosy from which they suffered. People believed leprosy to be highly contagious and so avoided people who had it for fear of catching it.
Some people called Jesus Rabi that means teacher. and as the leper had lost all hope , in despair he called out to Jesus as master.
Luke 17:11-19
Jesus healed the ten lepers, he raised Lazarus from the dead, he also healed blind Barth-emus.
The favorite Bible story of Mother Teresa was the story of the lepers. It was a story of loved being shared and healing.
