The two continents of the Western Hemisphere, North America & South America became based on two major religions:

A. In South America, including the North American country of Mexico, Roman Catholicism became the foundation of religion in this part of the New World based on the Catholicism of Spain.

B. In North America, Protestant denominations became the foundation religion. This was due to a large part by the British official religion of the Anglican religion.
