The Lutheran church practices many different traditions, most of which are based in Catholicism as Martin Luther did not aim to separate from the Catholic church. He wanted only to reform it, but obviously that didn't happen. Some traditions are a liturgical service (one that always follows the same format) which can be observed when you go to churches across the country. I went to a church 600 miles away and knew exactly what was going to happen. Infant baptism is also practiced in the Lutheran church. Another is communion, with bread (the body of Christ) and wine (the blood of Christ) Lent, Ash Wednesday, and other religious holidays are also observed.
Other than that, there aren't many. There is no practiced confession (although it's always an option) or anything like that.
There is a Lutheran Church and a Catholic Church but no Lutheran Catholic Church.
