The Church has an apartment across the street from Church Headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah which is reserved for the President/Prophet of the Church and his family. He may choose whether he would like to live there or in his own home. Thomas S. Monson, the current prophet, chose to stay in his own home, where he and his wife have resided for over 50 years. The Church provides security on his property.
This apartment is somewhat of a recent development. It was only in the 1950's and 1960's that apartments began to be provided in a church-owned building downtown for top leaders. Previous to that they lived in their own homes.
You can see photos of the homes of all the previous Presidents of the Church at the "Related Link" below.
And LDS prophet earns no income from the church. The LDS church utilizes a complete lay clergy where all leadership is voluntary. The same for Bishops, Stake Presidents, Mission Presidents, and all other authorities.
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints recognize all the prophets of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, as well as the prophets of the Book of Mormon and the modern prophets (presidents of the church from Joseph Smith until the present). I don't know why you asked that question. "LDS" means "Latter Day Saints" and refers to anyone who is a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or LDS church. That is pretty self explanatory. So the LDS were ALWAYS allowed in the LDS church because the LDS church is made up of only LDS people. Duh.

Members of the LDS Church are individuals who belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, commonly known as the LDS Church. Mormons, on the other hand, is a broader term that refers to all individuals who belong to various denominations within the Latter Day Saint movement, including the LDS Church. In essence, all members of the LDS Church are Mormons, but not all Mormons are members of the LDS Church.
LDS stands for "Latter-day Saint". Someone who says that they are "LDS" is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church). Members of the Church prefer to use the abbreviation LDS rather than the nickname "Mormon".
Mormon's (or The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints aka LDS) believe in the return of Prophets and Apostles to the latter days, that proclaim God's word to the people. The LDS Church does believe in the Bible (King James Version, unedited) but also has another book (The Book of Mormon) which has given the nickname to the church of "Mormons". The Book of Mormon testifies of Christ and his divinity and His coming to the America's after His death and resurrection. While the LDS church does have Prophets and Apostles, they do not worship them but instead the Prophet and Apostles also testify to the church membership of Christ's life and teachings. The LDS church is stated by many groups that they believe they are the only true religion. The LDS church got this reputation due to the fact that they are the only church with certain practices that take place in Temples but do not go against anything in the Bible, but rather support it. The LDS church does not believe people of other religions are evil or anything, they just believe that they do not have the full knowledge of God that is available to those who read the Book of Mormon and attend the LDS Temples. There are groups who speak out against the LDS church for the practice of having Temples and state that evil rites take place in the Temples or that Mormons are not Christians. There are many different arguments both for and against the Mormon church that ultimately come down to ones belief of their own religion or their beliefs of life in general.
No. Christina Aguilera is not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the 'LDS' or 'Mormon' Church).
The key principles of LDS theology include belief in God, Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon, modern prophets, and eternal families. These principles shape the beliefs and practices of members by guiding their daily actions, strengthening their faith, and providing a sense of purpose and direction in life. Members strive to live according to these principles, which influence their relationships, decisions, and overall worldview.
