Jesus Is the Son of God who, though existent before the world was created, made His entrance into this word veiled in the flesh of a human baby through the womb of Mary of Nazareth, a virgin. She was a devoted follower of God, but she is not divine, & should not be worshiped.

The reason Jesus left the glories of Heaven where He was constantly worshiped by angels & cherubim for the toils of this earth was to die in our place & reconcile us to Himself. He loves mankind, but when Adam & Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, man was separated from God. Sin was the reason that man could no longer be in God's physical presence, and all people are guilty of sin. God wants us to be brought back to Him, but He is so Holy & we are so exceedingly sinful, that no one ever has or ever will be able to live up to His standards.

Since He loves us so & He knew we would never be able to earn our way back into His favor, He came to the earth & lived as a man, but as we clearly see through the many miracles & the confessions of those who wrote about Him, He retained the divinity of God while showing Himself in the form of a human. The Bible says He was tempted in the same ways that we are, but He never gave in to those temptations & He never committed sin of any kind. (Also, not that marriage is a sin, but He didn't get married while He was here.)

The reason Jesus' sinlessness is so important is because He fulfilled the divine law which was given to the Israelites God's chosen people back in Exodus, the 2nd book of the Old Testament. These laws included, but are not limited to, the 10 Commandments. There are so many laws that a person could not even memorize them all, let alone keep them. God didn't issue these laws to condemn us, but to prove to us that we aren't able to get to Him on our own. The Bible describes the law as a schoolmaster which is intended to guide us to Christ. Jesus said the whole (healthy) don't need a physician, but those that are sick. Thats true, what healthy person seeks the help of a doctor? So the law works to show us that we are spiritually sick & separated from God. The results of our sinfulness is that our souls go to hell when we die. But Jesus obeyed the law in every area, then He offered His life on the cross. However, being sinless, death had no claim over Him (For the wages of sin is death...) so He rose from the dead which is called the resurrection. That is significant in that He can also raise our souls, which are already dead in trespasses & sins, to new life through the power of His sacrifice of Himself in our place (...but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord.)

The only way for a human being to be made right with God & escape the torments of a literal & eternal hell is to accept the offering Jesus gave, to repent (turn from) their sins & be saved. I'll try to put it in simpler language: salvation means that all our sins are put on Jesus' account, which is paid in full already by His death, so they are "erased." Then all the righteousness that He has & all the favor He has in the eyes of God the Father, & His sinless perfection are put on our account. We are no longer guilty & condemned in God's eyes, but are covered in the beautiful goodness of His beloved Son. If we are saved, we will not have to pay the penalty for our sins (death) because Jesus already did. His sacrifice was sufficient for all who will come to Him. The Bible makes it clear that salvation is not a license to sin just because we won't be accountable for it's ultimate price, although saved people do sin, it isn't willingly & ought to be despised if one is right with God. A person can not be saved without the work of God's Holy Spirit in their heart.

If you believe these truths I have shared & want to be saved, I suggest you purchase a King James Bible (not New King James) and read it, and obey what you read. Pray that God will send His Holy Spirit to lead you to Jesus. I don't know how God will go about bringing you to the end of your self where you realize that Jesus is all there is, but I believe He will. Jesus said He who cometh unto me I will in no wise (way) cast out. It could be instant, or it could take years, but if you want it bad enough you'll get it. There are some wonderful sermons on this free website, all they need is your email address. I'm subscribed & have not gotten any spam or any other unwanted solicitaitons from them. The address is www.sermonaudio.com. Mike Bagwell, Paul Washer, and Ray Comfort<(-:funny guy!) are some good starters. I will pray for you, I don't know who you are, but God does. I would start by reading the Gospel of John in a modern Bible translation. Wikipedia is another good research source.
