Why abu-bakr is called savior of Islam?

Hazrat Abu Bakar (RAU) was the FIRST free man who embraced Islam without asking any question or raising any doubt. Since his first day till his last day he stood by the Holy Prophet (SAW) through thick and thin. He is the Only blessed Muslim who has been given the title of 'Friend in the Cave' by Almighty Allah. He followed and loved the Holy Prophet (SAW) from the depths of his heart as no one else ever has. He surpassed in his love for the Holy Prophet (SAW) and Islam.

He is rightly considered the Saviour of Islam as at the sudden and unexpected passing away of the Holy prophet (SAW), it was he who amicably resolved the question of Caliphate that rose between the Ansaar (Helpers) and the Muhajreen (people who migrated from Makka to Madina).

Soon after, many tribes refused to pay Zakat. Some False people claimed prophet-hood. These were extremely painful days for Islam. It was this dauntless Rightful Caliph of Rasool (SAW) who fought against all these heavy odds and saved Islam.

the first Muslim man was Imam Ali a.s. accepting a religion without asking any question is not honor. According to Shia Islam there are many exaggerations about him in Sunni Islam books. the Tabari history books says Abubakr has been the 50th Muslim. some historians say who was in cave was another Abubakr.

According to Shia Islam the real savior of Islam was Imam Ali a.s. because did not make a civil war for power and gave it up to Islam can survive.

Tabari was a sunni historian. Iranian Empire was fallen by attack of Muslim Arabs to Iran and after many years at the time Ashura and killing Imam Hussain a.s. at Karbala Iranians mostly converted to Shia Islam.

Shia Muslims in the holy Qur'an but shia and sunni have different interprets of Quran. the Quran of Shia and Sunni is exactly the same and the story about the cave is not true. Prophet selected his closest friend Imam Ali a.s. as his Brother when each Sahaba selected one Brother.

Tabari is a Shia, not a Muslim.

Abu Talib, father of Hazrat Ali RAU) was a poor man with many children. So the Holy Prophet (SAW) adopted Hazrat Ali (RAU) to help his uncle.

When Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) proclaimed his being a prophet, Hazrat Ali (RA) was a young boy of 11, with shaky legs and sour eyes - that is what he himself said when he embraced islam. Hazrat Abu Bakr (RAU) was the closest friend of the holy Prophet (SAW), almost of the same age group -38 years, two years younger than the Holy Prophet (SAW).

The holy Prophet travelled on Buraq from Makka to Jerusalem and from there to the presence of Allah himself in heaven. He returned from there to Makka in one night. When he told people they did not believe him. But when Abu Bakr heard this he believed that moment without hesitation. So the holy Prophet called him al-Siddiq. He was called the Saviour of Islam because when he was caliph he helped the community of Muslims to survive against many enemies. In the first place, he gave new heart to the Muslims after the Prophet passed away. He told them that the Prophet must die and that only Allah never dies. Then in his short time as Caliph he defeated the tribes who withdrew from Islam and made them stay Muslim, and he fought and won against the tribes who refused to pay zakat. He also defeated the false prophets who claimed that they were real prophets. So he kept the unity of Islam at a time when there was much danger

After the death of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) some groups refused to pay Zakat and attacked muslim tax collectors, Prophet of all kind appeared, a man called Musaylima had his own quran. Abu Baker first task was to subdue these rebellions, which he did with the help of Khalid ibn Al-Walid. As a result, Abu Baker was known as the saviour of Islam.
