Jesus served others to exemplify the values of love, humility, and compassion central to his teachings. By engaging with the marginalized and performing acts of kindness, he demonstrated the importance of serving humanity and fulfilling God's will. His actions were meant to inspire others to care for one another and to establish a model for living a life dedicated to the welfare of others. Ultimately, Jesus believed that serving others was a way to express devotion to God.

He probably wanted (from my interpretation and memory, both of wich fail commonly) his followers to remember to be humble and serve others.
First of al Jesus is not a prophet.
Jesus called 12 apostles to serve him.
you can serve Jesus by becoming a priest, nun or a very religious person. You can also serve Jesus, serving the ones in need - poor, homeless, starving, orphans. God became man for us to see God in every man. "What you did to the least one, you did to me." Furthermore, serve Jesus by your work and study - improve the world, that is created by God, and given to us to take care of. Praise him by works of your hands. Read Holy Bible, especially gospels. Jesus says how to serve him.
if you behave like Jesus and do what you think he would do others will wonder what is different about you
To love, honor, and serve Him
They serve the goddess, hecate. There are various Spiritualist groups (like there are various Christian groups). So, wouldn't serve the same ones. Some would serve Jesus (and e.g. seeing Jesus much like Moses and Elijah), some would serve the Ascended Masters, etc.
The best way to live your faith in service to others is to follow Jesus who came to do the will of his Father - Before he went to the cross he said, " not my will, but thine, be done." (Luke 22.42) And the will of the Father is that we serve him first and foremost, as Jesus told us in Matthew 22. 37. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38. This is the first and great commandment. To serve others is the next commandment: 39. And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
It is a sign of being anointed as priest to lead others to God by your baptismal call. It is a sign of being anointed as prophet to speak for God. It is a sign of being anointed as king, like Jesus, not to be served but to serve others. The sacred chrism oil is used for ministry to serve as at Baptism, Confirmation, and as a priest at Holy Orders.
The washing of feet on Holy Thursday is a symbolic act that represents humility, service, and love. It is a reenactment of Jesus washing the feet of his disciples to show them the importance of serving others with humility and love. This act reminds Christians of the need to serve others selflessly and to follow Jesus' example of love and compassion.
By thinking of other people, using empathy to put yourself in their position, seeking to serve others, exercising love, choosing the right, sacrificing yourself for others and, as Christians would say, following the example of the Saviour, Jesus Christ.
