God sent the flood to destroy the earth, because the earth was to full of sin, the people were marrying and giving in marriage , living in adultery.
Answer:
"...God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." (Gen.6:5)
You know... kind of like it is in the world, now.
Jesus tells us that in the soon-coming time of His return to earth, the conditions on earth will be just like the days of Noah were [Matt.24:37]. And if the way the world is now isn't quite as bad as Noah's days were... the world is in for some serious trouble ahead.
He tells us that "Great Tribulation" is coming that shall be far greater than any other time in the history of the world... which means a time even more perilous and evil than Noah's time. In His description, He informs us that "all life on earth will be in jeopardy of ceasing to exist":
"For then shall be Great Tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." (Matt.24:21-22)
In other words... Noah's society was like today's society... getting ready to kill itself off.
"But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord." (Gen.6:8)
And just as God stepped into the affairs of man in Noah's day... and saved a few to begin again to replenish the world -- He's going to do it again. Only Jesus Christ will be the next "flood." A "flood of fire"... not "water."
History is being rewritten today by men who "deny" that "creation" and the flood ever happened:
"...they deliberately forget that long ago by God's Word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed.
"By the same Word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the Day of Judgment and destruction of ungodly men." (II Peter 3:5-7 NIV)
God destroyed Noah's world with water, because that society was getting ready to kill off all life on the planet... just as the society of these last days [like the days of Noah were] is getting ready to do.
God's plan for man required a set "period of time" to develop and to be worked out. And man's utter wickedness and sins were cutting off that time. And as a man may begin life anew in Christ through a rebirth to "newness of life" in baptism... so Noah and his family, by God's grace, began their new lives after the flood.
The destruction of that wicked society granted the time God's plan required to work out man's salvation.
But, because there was only one language in the world at that time, and communication, ideas and information flowed freely... Nimrod's attempt to recreate another wicked society forced God to "confound the languages" in order to slow down man's rapid technological development... along with another rapid return to the threat of ending all life on earth, again.
Until today. With the advent of the internet, information flows freely, again. Knowledge [and "Top Secret" information] can be had by all... and the world is "smaller"... and the nations of the world are talking once again of Nimrod's "one-government" society ['global governance,' they're calling it].
Man's unfettered communication technology develops in leaps and bounds, daily. His mind and heart is turned away from his Creator and His laws. Nothing is held back from him, now. Prurient filth of every nature that society once hid away in secret, can be had by all. And is growing in public acceptance.
The "wickedness of man is great in the earth" once again, and growing in leaps and bounds, keeping pace with his technology. "Every imagination of man's heart is only evil continually."
Jesus' prophecies are coming to fruition. As the days of Noah were... so, man is about to destroy all life on earth again.
God never sought to destroy the earth with the flood. His purpose was to destroy the "wickedness" upon it. It's man's wickedness and sin, and his worship and obedience to his god, "that old serpent" [Rev.12:9] that has always threatened to destroy all life on earth before it's "time"... not God.
Satan tried to stir up the mobs when Jesus walked the earth in the flesh, trying to kill Him "before it was the right time." But, the Father intervened on His behalf every time. [see Luke 4:28-30 & John 8:59]
So, does Satan work on man, to bring about the early cessation of life to earth... if he can.
And the "next flood" that's coming... Jesus Christ... the "consuming fire" [Heb.12:29]... isn't coming back to destroy the earth, any more than the flood did. He's coming back to destroy the wickedness from off of it... to SAVE the earth.
Man's allotted time is about finished. God''s plan and the number of those whom He has been calling to co-rule and administer the Kingdom of God on earth with Christ, is close to being fulfilled.
"...judgment was given to the saints of the Most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the Kingdom." (Dan.7:22)
"...Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world..." (Matt.25:34).
The need to "shorten the days" so that all life on earth might be saved" [Matt.24:22] approaches quickly.
The next flood that's coming soon, will burn up the wickedness on earth... and purify the earth once and for all. It was never to destroy the earth.
"Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for New Heavens and a New Earth, wherein dwelleth Righteousness." (II Peter 3:13)
These cities were Sodom and Gomorrah.
That's how the Book of Genesis describes it.
In the Bible, God said that the rainbow is a sign of His covenant with the Earth, promising to never again destroy the world by flood. It signifies His faithfulness and serves as a reminder of His promises.
Book of Genesis.
God (Genesis ch.1).
To be against what allah "God" and his prophet want .
The action of God creating the world. "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." Genesis 1:1
One thought:Noah was born nine generations after Adam(Genesis 5:3-29), and, according to the Bible, he "... was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God". (Genesis 6:9)(Genesis 7:1)He carried animals on his ark, because he was told by God to do so(Genesis 6:22), in order to preserve them alive when God brought a flood to destroy wicked humans (Genesis 6:5-7)(Genesis 6:13-20).
Because he hates god!!!
The first appearance of a rainbow in the book of Genesis is in Chapter 9, specifically in verses 12-16. This passage recounts how God set a rainbow in the sky as a sign of the covenant made with Noah and all living creatures on Earth, promising to never again destroy the world by flood.
The creation of the World. God created "...everything in the Earth, and all that was in it."
It is everywhere in that book.
