Why don't people convert to Islam to go to heaven?

Because some people believe they can have another religion instead of Islam to go to heaven, which they dont know thet are going the wrong way.

Others just think earth is heaven and dont care about the day of judgement, and they will get thier punishment on the day of judgement when Allah will gather every soul not leaving one behind.

The implicit assumption in the question is that conversion or acceptance of Islam is requisite to enter heaven. A second implicit assumption in the question is that heaven even exists or that all people have the ability to go there. Non-Muslims of different groups would strongly contest both assertions.

To the first, most Christian sects argue that only belief in the Christ as a Savior can allow a person to go to heaven. Since Islam rejects the Divinity of Christ, conversion to Islam would actually prevent that person from going to heaven.

To the second, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Sikhism speak to a post-death world where there is a harmony between a person's soul and the Divine, but not a Heaven/Paradise as exists in the Christian or Muslim perspective. Atheists and forms of liberal religion reject the idea of a post-death experience and the nature of the soul. For them, heaven is as real as Santa Claus. Some Christians, usually Calvinists, believe that only certain individuals, the Predestined by a Covenant of Grace, are even capable of going to heaven. A person who is not Divinely Chosen has no ability to go to heaven no matter what religion they would convert to. As a result, conversion to Islam would not help to achieve the goal of going to heaven.

It is also worth noting that religious Non-Muslims believe in their faiths as being true to the same degree that Muslims believe their faith to be true, so the Muslim argument that Non-Muslims are deluded in thinking their religions to be valid holds no weight with Non-Muslims.
