As a general rule...no. Your spirit is with you up until the moment you die. It then instantly returns to heaven. This would be a bit different from what some people claim to have had as a ' out of body experience' when your spirit becomes sort of 'detatched' from your physical body.
Opinions differ on this topic. Some believe the soul and spirit are distinct entities, with the soul being the essence of an individual's being and the spirit being the divine aspect that connects to a higher power. Others view them as interchangeable terms referring to the non-physical aspect of a person.
When a body dies the spirit or consciousness remains with the body fallen asleep until the body is ressurrected. The Bible is quite clear on this and references several times about people who have fallen asleep. The soul on the other hand goes into one of two places at the time of death. It either goes to Heaven to be with God or it goes to Hell. Jesus taught this in the story about Lazarus and the rich man. So then you have to ask the question how do I get to Heaven? Jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life NO man comes unto the Father but by me." That means you must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to get into Heaven. That does not mean that you have to know about him rather instead you must know him on a deep and intimate level and place him as Lord of your life. The Bible says broad is the way that leads to destruction and narrow is the gate to Heaven and few there be that find it. Jesus also said that on judgement day that not everyone that says LORD LORD will get into Heaven. The ones who will get in have followed the Father's will and have given their hearts to Christ. This message is meant for you to read and you must understand what you do with Jesus Christ will determine your eternal destiny. If you call upon his name and ask him to forgive you and repent and turn from your wicked ways God will cleanse you from ALL unrighteousness. Jesus was sent to seek and to save that which was lost [meaning you and me]. God does not force himself on you he loves you asnd wants you to willingly join him in Heaven. He is waiting to hear from you....
In the Bible, Simeon was the man in the temple who recognized Jesus as the Messiah when he was presented by Mary and Joseph at the temple in Jerusalem. Simeon had been told by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before seeing the Messiah, and he blessed Jesus and proclaimed him as the Savior.
There is no specific prayer that you must say before you die. It is a personal choice and can vary based on individual beliefs and faith traditions. Some may choose to recite a prayer that brings them comfort or seek guidance from their spiritual leaders.
There is a belief that smelling flowers before death could indicate a peaceful passing or a transition to the afterlife. Some people also interpret it as a sign of divine presence or a way for the soul to prepare for its journey. Ultimately, it is viewed as a comforting and symbolic occurrence.
If you mean by energy as the spirit or the soul, then the answer is yes. A person may die and the spirit or soul will leave the body. If for some reason God feels that it was not you time to die the spirit may be returned to the body so that the person may complete their earth life.
Up to a point you are right, let me try and explain just what I mean. At some time prior to your birth your spirit entered your body making you a living person. This spirit was prior to entering your body in the spirit world with your Father in heaven. It were waiting to enter your human form. We do not know how this was done but let it suffice that we were able to travel from the spirit world and enter our body. It is my believe that this other spirit is the Holy Spirit which at times will visit us when we have a need for him. This spirit is a separate spirit to your own spirit, which is in the exact likeness of you when you reach a certain age. It is when we die that this spirit leaves our human bodies and awaits us at the time of the resurrection when we will be reunited with that same spirit. I hope this has been of some help to you.
Fully Divine means that Jesus was both Fully Man and Fully Divine. Here is a way to think of Him. We as humans are both body and Spirit/Soul beings. God is a spirit too. He put his spirit into a fetus when he impregnated Mary. Therefore the body of Jesus had the Spirit of God (his Son that is). He put a part of himself into the baby inside Mary. When we die our spirit leaves our body. Jesus spirit left his body when he rose again and then ascended to Heaven/Paradise.
Yes, but just as a person is made up of a spirit and a body and only the body is capable of dying, so, too, Our Blessed Lord's Body which he got from Our Blessed Lady could die, His Spirit could not.
On May 25th, 735 upon the floor of his little cell, chanting…his spirit passed from the body.
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) believe that the spirit of each person is eternal - it never dies. The spirit is what gives a body life and consciousness. Mormons believe your spirit lived in heaven with God before being placed into your body for life on earth. When you die, your spirit will return to heaven and your body will remain here on earth. After the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, our spirits will be reunited with our bodies (resurrected) and together be made immortal. In addition, Mormons also believe in The Holy Spirit (sometimes called the Spirit or the Holy Ghost). The Holy Spirit is the third member of the Godhead and is immortal and eternal. Check out the "Related Links" below for more information about what Mormons believe about the spirit of man and the Holy Spirit.
The soul as you refer is in fact the body and the spirit of man. When a person dies his spirit goes back to that God who gave it life. After the resurrection the body will be reunited with its spirit to its perfect frame, not one hair being lost. The scriptures do not say that the very same materials of which the original body was made of will be used, but that the body will be in its exact likeness when it was upon the earth.
In Biblical terms, the spirit (Hebrew: neshama נְשָׁמָה) is the breath. So, to allow your spirit to leave your body would be to allow the breath to leave your body (in other words, you die or get really close to dying). It's probably not a good idea to attempt this.
If you are referring to St. Raphael the Archangel, he was created as a pure spirit by God long before our Universe existed and will never die.
Many believe that physically, the person's spirit leaves the body and goes to either Heaven or Hell. Catholics believe that the spirit goes to Pergatory. Some people believe that when people die, they simply cease to exist.
Yes your spirit lives on.
It wasn't really revealed whether Zhao was "killed" or not, as we learn a person in the Spirit World is solid whether they have their body or not. It's likely Zhao was killed, his spirit was carried over to the Spirit World.
