Acts 2:25,31 "For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell [the grave], neither his flesh did see corruption."
Upon his death, just as all men who have died, Jesus went to the grave.
The word hell in Biblical text is the Hebrew word sheol, or hadës in Greek. Sheol is the state of gravedom in which there is no consciousness. For three days and three nights, Jesus had no consciousness.
Psalms 146:4 "His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish."
As prophesied, Christ was raised from the dead after three days and nights.
I Corinthians 15:3,4 "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
When you think of "Hell" you think of a fiery furnace, am I right? "Hell" is taken from the word "Hades" which means "the ground". Now we also think "Hell" is below us, which it isn't. In the subject of death and hell, "Hell" is actually "resting place"; "the ground". Now, when you're asking, "Do people of other religions go to hell?" the answer is that, I believe, someone from every religion will go to hell. When Jesus comes the second time, all those who have died are asleep but when Jesus comes again He is going to resurrect those who died in Him, and after the thousand years in heaven and we come down back to earth where Jesus will place the New Jerusalem on earth, He is going to resurrect the dead who rejected Him and they will all burn from God's glory however long they deserve. What people have misunderstood that people burn forever and ever, but that's not Biblical. What everyone thinks "Hell" is not going to happen until the Final Judgement where everyone who rejected Christ will receive "Hell"; they will burn according to what they knew and how they decided to make their decision.
God created hell for Satan (Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire (Hell), prepared for the devil and his angels). Those who do not follow Jesus will end up in hell since they chose to follow Satan instead of Jesus - the only way to heaven.
Jesus is the son of God, sent from heaven, born of the virgun mary, to die on the cross and pay for all of our sins with his blood, so that who ever believes in him, may go to heaven. There is a heaven and a hell, and because of what Jesus did, we no longer have to perish in the firey pit of hell for all eternity. John 3:16 whosoever belives in Him(jesus) shall not perish, but hVe everlasting life. I hope that answers your question.
It is not for us to judge who goes to heaven or hell. In Christianity, ultimate judgment rests with God. The Bible tells us that faith in Jesus Christ is the way to salvation.
Not every Christian believes that Jesus went to hell during the time between His death and His resurrection.Luke 23:46 tells us that Jesus said to God, "Father, into Your hands I commit My Spirit," and then He breathed His last. Jesus didn't need to say that out loud. I believe He did that for the benefit of His listeners and us, so that we would know where He was going when he died. (He had done this before somewhere in the New Testament: prayed out loud before his disciples for the sole reason of their hearing. I forget where it is, though. I sincerely apologize and will come back and edit this when I find it.)If we were to believe that Jesus went to hell immediately after His death, then that would nullify what He had just said to God. Furthermore, it would make it seem He had lied to the thief on the cross in telling him he would be in "paradise" that day.The question of where was Jesus' spirit between His death and resurrection opens another question: Where will our spirits go when we die?I believe we, as believers, will be with Him in paradise, just as the thief is with him. And just as Stephen, in Acts 7:59, when being stoned to death asked the Lord Jesus to receive his spirit. Stephen knew where he was going. Do we?
Jesus went to Heaven when he died on Earth, not Hell.
NO Jesus did not go to hell he went to haven and that's true.
Well it depends if you believe in hell.
Jesus didn't visit hell because he has no right. Jesus is perfect and sinless so he can't go to hell. And anyway, who ever goes to hell can never come out and will have to die forever.
yes you can go to hell for haveing sex before marrage but if you have repented for your sins and accepted Jesus into your heart then I believe you wouldn't go to hell.
According to Catholic beliefs, Judas is traditionally believed to have gone to hell for betraying Jesus.
You might be given hell by overly religious Christians, but no, you won't go to Hell if you don't go to Church. Even not reading the Bible won't make you go to Hell. Jesus Christ saved you. Not going to church, and not reading the Bible. Follow Jesus Christ, not a Christian religion.
if you have asked jesus into no but if you havn't yes you will.
According to the Bible, you go to hell if you do not accept and confess Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
The bible never states that Jesus went to hell. There is no mention of Jesus taking a flower into hell with him.
She does not want any of us to go to Hell.
Since werewolves don't exist, this is a pretty pointless question. If they did, the Christian view is that they would go to Hell if they didn't accept Jesus.
