Jeremiah is one of the Major Prophets in the Old Testament. He is known for not wanting to deliver the word from God to GodÕs people. He tried not to speak but sait it was like a fire in his bones until he released the word. There is no biblical reference that he blasphemy God.

For a man to claim to be God would of course be indeed blasphemy. But from the lips of Jesus it was the utter truth.
Yes, St. Stephen is considered the first Christian martyr saint. He was stoned to death after being accused of blasphemy for his beliefs in Jerusalem around 34 AD. His martyrdom is recorded in the Acts of the Apostles in the New Testament.
Jeremiah, sometimes called the weeping prophet, was surrounded by a nation ripe for judgment. The apostate nation of Israel had refused repeatedly to heed the warnings of this man of God, like others before him. He foresaw the results of their sin and continuing rebellion against their God. Jeremiah himself was falsely accused of treason and thrown into a muddy dungeon. He also had a scroll of prophecy burnt by the king.
