The religions are given below in order of the numbers of adherents: Christianity 2200 million (around 32% of the world's population) Islam 1226 million (around 19% of the world's population) Hinduism 828 million (around 13% of the world's population) Buddhism 364 million (around 6% of the world's population) Sikhism 23.8 million (less than 1% of the world's population) Chinese folk religions ( a whole group of religions) have 390 million adherents, those with no formal religion (eg agnostics, non practising Christians, atheists, humanists, deists etc) have 800 million adherents, Judaism has 14.5 million adherents and all the other religions (eg new age, spiritualists, Baha'i, Confucianism, Jainism, Zoroastrianism, Shinto, Taoism, Wicca, Shamanism, Animism, Rastifarianism and so on) have around 150 million adherents or so. So those with a religion of some sort represent around 87-92% of the world's population
