Jesus was born in "Bethlehem Ephrathah", in the Judean highlands (as prophesied at Micah 5:2), nowadays called Beit Lahm(Bet Lehem) about 5 ½ miles from the Temple Mount.
There were two Bethlehems in existence in Jesus day: -A town in the territory of Zebulun (Joshua 19:10+15) and -The town formerly called Ephrath (Ephrathah) (Genesis 35:19 + 48:7)(Luke 1:26-38; 2:4-7). It was this latter one where Jesus was born (John 7:40-42)(Matthew 2:3-6).
Mark's account of scourging and crucifixion of Jesus influences Christians to understand that Jesus went through all of this without complaint for mankind. As a result, man must bear up under any suffering that must be endured on earth in preparation for the reward at the end of life.
Jesus said "do this in remembrance of me" during the Last Supper with his disciples, as recorded in the Bible in Luke 22:19 and 1 Corinthians 11:24-25. This statement is often understood by Christians as a call to partake in the Lord's Supper or Eucharist in remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice.
The Pharisees referred to Jesus as "rabbi," a term meaning teacher or master. They also used the derogatory term "Beelzebul" to accuse Jesus of being possessed by demons or Satan.
The Transfiguration. It is called the Tranfugeration.
John refers to the miracles performed by Jesus as "signs" in the Gospel of John. These signs were meant to demonstrate Jesus' divine nature and identity as the Son of God. Each miracle serves as a revelation of Jesus' power and authority.
Christians would call Jesus the son of the Highest, because Christians believe that Jesus was the son of God.
They should do the things Jesus did, believe the thing Jesus believes. Act like Jesus did. Unfortunately, many call themselves Christians and act like the rest of the world.
All Christians call Jesus the son of God. This is a basic belief of Christianity. If a group doesn't call Jesus the son of God then I would say they are not Christian.Romans 1:3 ..........concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh,Romans 1:4 and declared to be the Son of Godwith power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.
Christians call it resurrection or Easter.
As far as I know He never did. The word 'Christian' was not in use.
Catholics do call God father. Not to do so would be heretical as Jesus, himself, said we should address him as Our Father.
Iusa Karast is the Egyptian name for Jesus Christ.
Christians firmly believe that Jesus is the divine Son of God, and most Christians believe he is one with God.Muslims believe that Jesus Christ is not 'The God.' "Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good--except God alone" [Mark 10:18]
I am not sure what they call it back then in Aramaic, but today?I think we will call whatever Joseph was wearing when Jesus was born CLOTHES!
Christians are instructed to worship only God with Jesus Christ as the Son of God being our only intercessor for us. Humans who have died are 'sleeping' and awaiting their call to Judgement as the Scripture clearly indicates.
Speaking for Jehovah's Witnesses as Christians; we actually call it a 'com-mission'; or a 'mandate' from Christ Jesus. Our mission is found in Matthew 28:19:20, to witt: "All authority has been given Christ Jesus; THEREFORE - - GO - - Go make disciples of people of all nations; Baptize them; TEACH them all the commands of Jesus." Jesus and the early Christians actually did this, by their house-to-house ministry. There are other mandates also, but the above is Christians MAIN commission. This is the mission of Jehovah's Witnesses as Christians.
Catholicism was founded by Jesus Christ. Until Protestantism, all Christians were what we now call Catholics.
