The most prevalent holidays within the Christian belief that have been eroded by mans desire to make a profit are Christmas and Easter. The secular world wants us to believe that Christmas is all about the giving of gifts. This lines their pockets with money. Easter has been changed to represent the Easter Bunny and spring time. Christmas is about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ not pleasing each other with gifts. How would you like it if your birthday was the day that everyone else received a gift except you. Easter is the day that we celebrate the resurection of Jesus which was foretold in the Old Testament. Jesus Christ was born into this world and died because of mans disbelief that he was the messiah. But after three days in the grave He rose to life again and still lives with God the father in heaven. Believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he came here to save us from eternal damnation through our faith in Him is the key to eternal life in heaven. There is nothing that we have to do. Not buy buying presents for others, not through good works or deeds but by just believing that he died for our sins. No strings attached. No Santa, no bunny, no acts of our own, just faith in Him. Any questions feel free to email me. I'm not perfect, just forgiven.
