To my knowledge, God has no surname in the same way that Allah has no surname. The gods of the ancients and the gods of modern times may have had epithets eg. 'God almighty', 'True God' etc. In Christianity, Jesus is believed to be God and is called Jesus Christ. 'Christ' is not a surname. The word or epithet, 'Christ' means 'redeemer', 'saviour', 'deliverer' etc. He may also be styled Jesus The Christ. Since Jesus was related to King David through the Hasmonean lineage, He could have well lay claim to using that name but the Christian Scriptures tell us that Jesus entered human history for a higher purpose than seeking titles royal or otherwise. In Jesus' time, records show that Jews were often referred to by the lineage of their family, particularly that of their father.
