Morals are the underlying beliefs of what comprises right and wrong in any society. For instance, in our country it is wrong to kill someone, but in another culture or society it may not be wrong. Another word for morals is mores.

The constitution was written by our forefathers with the underpinning morals and beliefs they held to be true, some of them coming from The Bible. Other countries use other sources for the basis of their laws and customs, like the Muslims or whoever.

The morals and beliefs you hold to be true in your life are like the foundation of a house. If what you believe is actually the real truth, then your life will be grounded on a solid foundation. But if you believe the wrong things, even though you believe them to be true, then when adversity comes you find out those beliefs are wrong if you are truthful with yourself. That is why I base my life on God's Word, the Bible, because God is changeless as well as His Word, the Bible. It doesn't change like the morals of society.

Look at the last sixty years in our history, how many things have gone from being wrong to right in today's society because the morals of society have accepted certain things that are contrary to the Bible. The Bible is different from society in that what was wrong thousands of years ago is still wrong today etc. What was right thousands of years ago is still right today also. (Hebrews 13:8) The book of Isaiah in the Old Testament has a verse that says, in the last days things that have been called right will be wrong and things that were called wrong will be right.
