We do find several descendants of Cain with the same name as those of Seth, subject to translation of the original spelling:
Adam ............................................. Adam
........................................................ Seth
........................................................ Enos
Cain ............................................... Cainan (Cain)
Enoch ............................................ Mahalaleel (Mehujael)
Irad ................................................ Jared (Irad)
Mehujael ....................................... Enoch (Enoch)
Methusael ..................................... Metheluselah (Methusael)
Lamech ......................................... Lamech (Lamech)
This would be more apparent in the above comparison if the order of Mahalaleel, Jared and Enoch are reversed. The reason is no doubt the syncretism of two originally separate traditions.
It is likely that the repetition of names was common practice in ancient cultures to honor ancestors or prominent figures. In the case of Cain and Seth, repeating names could have been a way to highlight the importance of certain individuals or to emphasize continuity within the family lineage.
For the same reason that this happens today. People name their children after someone living or deceased. See also:
Adam's youngest son was named Seth according to the Bible. Seth was born after the death of Abel, who was killed by his brother Cain. Seth is considered to be the ancestor of Noah and ultimately all of humanity, according to the Bible.

Adam and Eve weren't born. Genesis 2:7 The Lord formed the man from soil on the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. God put Adam into a deep sleep, took out some of his side, and put flesh there. (Genesis 2:21) That was how God created Adam and Eve.
The first five people mentioned in the Bible are Adam, Eve, Cain, Abel, and Seth. Adam and Eve were the first human beings created by God according to the Genesis creation narrative, and Cain, Abel, and Seth were their children.
Harry Clearwater is the father of Seth Clearwater, he died of a heart attack in New Moon.
It is impossible to accurately determine the exact percentage of people alive today who are descendants of Cain, as biblical records do not provide specific numbers or genealogical information that can be used to make such calculations.
Cain and Abel. After Cain killed Abel, Eve gave birth to Seth. The Israelites and Christ are descendants of Seth. The Bible also states that Adam and Eve had many other sons and daughters (Genesis ch.5).
Cain moved away married and had many children. I think the place he moved to was called the land of Nod? Non Canonical Books say that Cain was accidentally killed in a hunting accident. The Flood probably killed all of Cain's Decendents unless any of the three women Noah chose as wives for His Sons Shem, Ham and Japeth Were descendants of Cain but I doubt it. The Bible just says that "Noah chose three women to be wives for his three sons" Abel, I hope is asleep waiting to be resurrected. Seth is in the Geneology of Jesus. I believe that the book of Luke traces Jesus' genealogy back through Seth to Adam. So Seth had children.
Cain, Abel and Seth represent themselves. They were the first three children of the world. Adam and Eve were never children.
No, Cain did not marry Seth. Him and Seth were actually brothers.
Seth and Cain were brothers, children of Adam.

One thought:Cain's family all died in the flood. And everyone on earth are Seth's descendants, because Noah was a descendant of Seth(1Chronicles 1:1-4) and all humans on earth came from Noah's sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth.
Adam and Eve had three children who were introduced, with names, in the book of Genesis. The first was Cain, in 4:1; the second, Abel, in 4:2; and the third, Seth, in 4:25. Additionally, Adam was identified as the father of daughters and sons other than Seth, in 5:4.
