Well, my red eared slider, Jitterbug is a Female. I can tell this because I looked it up on YouTube.com and it said:
Females:1.Shorter nails
2.Shorter and stumpier tail
3.They grow bigger than males do(up to 12 inches)
Males:1.Usually smaller than females
2.long skinny tail
3.really long sharp nails
I Hope this was useful to you :)
if your turtle is a male you will see a bump on either side of its tail. if its a female its more likely to be aggressive and will only have a slight bump on either side of it's tail.
A boy box turtle.
No, these two animals cannot live together well. The turtle will often attack the crab in an effort to eat it, and it is not advisable for them to live in the same tank together.
The weight of a turtle has no direct correlation to it's gender.
A lizardess.
Leatherback turtle
There is no such thing as a red eye slider, maybe you were trying to say redeared slider. (the red is not on it's eye, it is on it's ears) Common mistake. Check this website out. It tells you alot of things about the red eared slider. http://www.austinsturtlepage.com/Care/caresheet-red_ear_slider.htm
Oh, dude, a mom turtle is called a female turtle. I know, super creative, right? It's like calling a dad turtle a male turtle. So, yeah, nothing too fancy there, just your basic gender-specific turtle terminology.
i know a female turtle named beatrice if thats anyhelp
In English there are no masculine or feminine forms. English uses gender specific nouns for male or female. The noun turtle is a common gender noun, a word for a male or a female animal. There are no gender nouns for a male or female turtle.
No because all turtles eyes are the same unless it is albino but if it is albino it had red eyes all species of turtles have the same eyes
The gender of a turtle does not affect the age of the turtle. You can tell the age of your turtle by looking at the layers on the turtles scute. Scutes are what makes a turtles shell look quilted. Each scute sheds about once a year, revealing a new scute and leaving a layer on the new scute. By seeing how many layers are on a scute you can tell how many years old your turtle is. Example. 2 layers = 2 years, 10 layers = 10 years. A turtle with no layers will be less than a year old.
