Restaurant booths are often more comfortable than sitting in a stiff wooden chair at a restaurant. However, like with anything else, they have their pros and cons that can really make or break restaurant booths for some people. Usually color is never a factor for a customer, however, it can be for a restaurant-- booths come in some awefully ugly colors and that can be a real deterant for some restaurants- especially ones that are part of a chain with a certain color scheme or theme. Listed below are pros and cons of restaurant booths from a potential customer's perspective.

Pros:

Restaurant booths are more comfortable than sitting in a chair. They have puffy seats that are better for relaxing while you are sitting down to eat. Because of this puffier seat, sometimes a person's height comes into play because the seat will deflate leaving you more chin level with the table than you would like.

If you have back problems, you will be more comfortable sitting in a restaurant booth than you would be in a chair. The backs of the booths are just as cushioned as the seats are, making them more comfortable for people that may be in Back pain or just not feeling 100% that day.

Restaurant booths afford more room for more people to join your party. If you have to try and cram more than six chairs at the table, you are not going to be very comfortable. You will be more than likely sitting elbow to elbow in a restaurant booth but you would be able to get more people in a booth.

Cons:

Restaurant booths are not ideal for sitting in during the summer time. If the booth is made of vinyl, you are going to stick to the seat making for an uncomfortable time moving around or getting out of the booth.

If the booth is made of vinyl, it can be come cracked due to the sun and heat exposure. This means that there could be rips in the cushion that you have to sit on that are uncomfortable and can scratch you. Some places will fix it with Duct Tape, which can also be scratchy and irritating if you have to sit on it, not to mention unattractive to look at.

It can be a downside for many that as you sit at a restaurant booth, the air in the seat that kept it nice and puffy before will start to deflate, leaving you sitting lower, and lower in your seat.
