A regular twin bed is only 74 inches long. An XL twin is 80 inches long. So the answer is NO.
When you say mattress that is the top. Boxspring is the bottom. So im guessing you have mattress and boxspring extra long. The answer is yes. A twin extra long mattress will fit a regular twin bed frame. The length is just longer not the width.
