"No, that is totally forbidden."

I will leave the above answer from the previous poster but remove the remainder as a way to, I hope, InshaAllah, improve the answer that was given and put it back in alignment with what I understand Islam to represent in terms of our sexual behavior or moral character.

Allah wants justice. Allah does not want us to be happy in committing sins (and homosexuality is one of them). It is believed, among Islamic scholars, that you can have gay thoughts but you cannot act upon them. This is attributed to a hadith.

Also, you may want to ask Allah to help you think in directions that fulfill His will. If you are unsure what Allah wants of us, read the Quran and study it. And as for the view of parents and friends needing to 'accept' the sins of a person as though the sin cannot be repented for and the behavior corrected, nobody is obliged to accommodate sin. So if you're a homosexual (which is a sin) and you 'come out' to your parents and friends, do not ask them to join you in the sin by 'supporting' your decision to carry out the sin and even 'join' others who commit the sin on a regular basis in the form of 'homosexual communities'.
