It took 10,000 workers, 1,000 boats, 100 airplanes, and the Navy, Army, and Air Force to clean up the spill. Exxon spent about $2.1 billion for the clean up.

They are not paying all at once though, they put a 20 Billion dollar trust fund to cover damages, payed off the bloodthirsty environmentalists, and then.... the point is they lost so much money that they fired their CEO a few weeks into the crisis thats how you know it was really bad
