Absolutely. They accomplish little these days ... the wages lost while picketing are never recovered, no matter how many years one works in their life. The families medical insurance coverage also ceases while striking ... leaving your family helpless if there is ever a medical emergency during that time. The only entity that "wins" during a strike is the company - they keep raking in their millions of dollars and don't have to pay hourly wages in the meantime.

However, the above being stated, Unions DO have their place in society, and I believe, in the long run, that Unions are a good thing. Without unions we would not be making the wages we earn today.

But, when wages go up, the cost of everything else must rise in an effort to recoup losses, which then makes it hard for the wage earner to buy anything again. It's an endless vicious cycle with no end.
