Greece has become one of the most LGBT friendly countries in Southeast Europe. Discrimination is not as common anymore, although LGBT people in Greece may still face legal and social challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents.

Despite this, the Greek public opinion on homosexuality is generally regarded as increasingly culturally liberal, with same-sex unions being legal since December 2015.
