In order to reduce bullying, it helps for everyone to understand what is happening when bullying is occurring. A bully is not just abusing an individual but is also seeking power. As long as the other children approve of the bully's tactics, the bully will continue doing what he is doing. A number of the other children will try to be friends with the bully, they will look up to him and approve what he is doing. Who will the bully pick on? He or she will pick on the person with the fewest friends. One solution is to isolate the bully and make friends with his victims. Let the bully's followers know you do not like the way they enable his or her nastiness.

Good preventions for stopping child bullying would be to address the problem directly, by speaking with the parent of the bullying child or by going to a school administration (if the victim or victims were bullied on school grounds).
I think that to limit the incidence of bullying at school there could be a whole school assembly talking about the affects of bullying and true life stories? This way it could show the bullies what pain and hurt is caused by bullying but I also feel that there is no proper way to stop bullying as there are some cruel people in this world who make their own decisions however there are websites you can go on and you can talk to adults as well STOP BULLYING
School yard bullying happens at school or on playgrounds, in person. Cyber bullying is when someone sends you threatening or harassing emails or messages on the internet, or when they send mean or cruel emails/messages about you to others. It may be from someone you know, or it may be someone who just happened to see your name or email address some where.
Should not bully and if they do they should get some consequences.
It could be that strict school policies and the advent of the Internet has displaced the bullying. They might bully at home or in the neighborhood, or they choose to cyberbully instead. Oh, some schools try to dictate your behavior while at home too, but anyone can take steps to reduce the chances of getting caught. So it is a matter of it being too costly to bully at school to make bullying in other places more attractive. Other factors as to why you might not see bullying is that maybe the bullying at school is more covert. Or maybe the school had a recent bullying-related tragedy or an effective anti-bullying program.
I seriously doubt that you can go anywhere in the world (be it a school or not) and there not be ANY bullying at all. Some schools are better than others, though, about taking care of the bullying.
Various schools are taking different actions to prevent bullying. One of the things some schools are doing is to implement a workshop for staff on how to deal with bullying.
