What are the issues and problem in evolving a feminist canon of Indian English writing?

Feminism in India has been a suppressed expression beginning in the early 18 century when social taboo,social restrictions denied a women freedom of expression as she was bound to maternity and domestic life in a male dominated society.There was some respite for the few elite females in the beginning of 19 Century when social reforms like Bramho Samaj propagated education for girls.The Gandian era saw the emancipation of women and writings.In the modern time the social ethos of Indian writing has taken a deep plunge in literature with redundant social themes influenced by western feminism merely to titillate and poor literary writing in mediocrity.A feminist genre in Indian English writing appears to be a void in literature both in Native and English language.
