Spider plants cannot thrive in an ocean environment because they are terrestrial plants that require soil to grow. They would not be able to survive in the salty water of the ocean.
The high salinity levels in the soil and water near the ocean can be the most likely abiotic factor that restricts some plants from growing close to the ocean. Saltwater can be detrimental to many plant species by causing water imbalance and affecting their ability to take up essential nutrients. Additionally, strong winds and sandy, nutrient-poor soils near the coast can also limit plant growth.
Same reason there is plants on land, it is part of the under sea ecosystems
I do not know but i know this...There are only a few true plants in the oceans; these include salt marsh grasses and mangrove trees. But large algae, or seaweed, also use photosynthesis to make food, just as plants do on land. These organisms have to live in the photic zone, because they require sunlight for photosynthesis. For that reason, most plants, seaweeds and algae in the ocean are found near the ocean surface or close to the shore.
plants eat plants in the ocean.
plants that live in the ocean. They are living plants.
Plants are green because of pigments, including chlorophylls, that absorb light for photosynthesis. In deep parts of the ocean, where it is always dark, photosynthesis cannot take place (there is no light), so there is no need for these green pigments in plants that may exist there. Therefore any plants that do exist there would not be green, as production of chlorophylls would be a waste of energy and resources.
Seaweed does not grow in the deep ocean because the deeper you go, the darker it gets. Without the light, plants (including marine plants) cannot perform photosynthesis, the process of turning sunlight into food.
maybe because at such depths there is no sunlight.... if anyone know other more relevant reason plss ans... :)
Carbon Dioxide dissolves in ocean water. Plants in the ocean use the carbon dioxide dissolved in the ocean water.
there is carbon dioxide molecules dissolved in the water and the plants take them out and use it to photosynthesize if it cannot find carbon dioxide it will find dissolved oxygen molecules and carry out respiration
