Biodegradable refers to the nature of products that breakdown naturally. Products that breakdown in the environment are less polluting
I'm guessing here, but probably because the products he sells must be safe for the environment (animals, plants) If he/she has a good chemistry background it must mean that he/she knows about the effects his/her products will have on the environment. I hope this helped :)
Some would say Yes. But it's old school recycling. Instead of throwing usable material away (animal hides) they are made into leather products which have a good life span and are durable products. Making the most out of animal by products is good for the environment.
