It is not feasible to completely clean up an oil spill. The oil can be cleaned from beaches, but other areas including wetlands may be impossible to clean. Nature through wind, wave and biological action will over time degrade and disperse (spread out) the oil, so its impact will be much less.

This cannot be known for certain. For starters, have they properly stopped the release of oil yet? No guarantees here. Secondly, how do you define 'cleaned up'? One would think that the Exxon Valdez spill was cleaned up some time ago and all the wildlife back again. But I learn that you can still find oil there even now. So is that spill cleaned up or not, in your definition?
It hasnt been cleaned up its still leaking. Bp has no idea how to close off the pipe or get it cleaned up they have completly screwed our marine life in the gulf.
it has to be cleaned up quickly because it wil stick to the surface and would be hard to clean up and could be a danger hazard.
Oil can kill millions of animals and plants. Oil spills need to be cleaned up as quickly as possible.
