Technically from sociological point of view, one question would call for diverse answers from many standpoints depending on how the question is raised and which school of thoughts employed to anwered. Some examples as follows.
1. From radical feminism, women are kidnapped, trafficked and/or sold as a result of gender partriarchy, that is from male's oppression and exploitation. Since women's status is lower than men, they are manipulated and repressed, being kidnapped, trafficked are only the forms of oppression, in the same manner of being beaten, being viewed as domestic and unpaid housewives or merely reduced to be "reproductive bodies".
2. Political economy theorists would claim the phenomena as result of the economic-driven motivation embedded in the politics. Women are exploited by the capitalist system that dehumanize them and turn them into commercial goods.
3. Cultural studies may suggest the cultural values that made women endure such calamities, such as the gender stereotypes and meanings of being women that women may sell themselves to fulfill their piety to their parents or to be married, as the society expect women to be.
4. From public policy aspect, the answer may be as simple as the unbalanced gender in China due to the one-child policy. Since son-preference is resulted from Confucius strong influence and with help of ultrasound technology which enables couples to sex selection, baby boys are outnumber of baby girls.
Just some thoughts to open up discussions.
The main reasons behind this issue are gender imbalance in China due to its one-child policy and traditional preference for male children, leading to a shortage of women for marriage, and poverty in Southeast Asian countries, making women vulnerable to being trafficked for marriage. Additionally, weak law enforcement and lack of awareness contribute to the prevalence of this human rights violation.
There is no specific data on what percentage of brides marry their first love, as it varies from person to person. Some individuals marry their first love, while others have multiple romantic relationships before marriage.
Some notable contributors to sociology include Emile Durkheim, Karl Marx, Max Weber, and Harriet Martineau. These individuals have greatly influenced the field with their theories and research on topics such as social order, capitalism, bureaucracy, and gender inequality. Their work continues to shape the way sociologists understand society and social phenomena.
Seven brides for seven brothers Answer: Seven Brides for Seven brothers was NOT about mail order brides. Six of the seven women were kidnapped by mountain men who forgot to bring the parson. (Adam and Millie were married in town.)
Scout Compton was never a drummer for Black Veil Brides. Scout was the name of the girl that Andy Biersack, the vocalist for Black Veil Brides dated in the past. The previous drummer for the band was Sandra Alva. She left the band for personal reasons.
A consignment store will sell a dress like that, but I don't know of any bridal or dress shops that would take a brides maid dress. They would have thousands of they did. I imagine weddings are canceled or changed every day.
Black veil brides?
The plural form for the noun bride is brides. The plural possessive form is brides'.The brides' gowns hung in a row in their garment bags waiting to be picked up.
There is no specific collective noun for brides, most likely because brides seldom form groups. However, if you need a collective noun for a rare grouping of brides, choose a noun suitable for the context. I have seen suggestions for a bouquet of brides (charming), a giggle of brides (borrowed from a gaggle of geese), or a babble of brides (lots of arrangements to discuss when you group prospective brides).
NO black veil brides are not.
