The average cost per mile of this bus is the total cost of diesel plus the total maintenance costs IN THE PERIOD UNDER DISCUSSION, divided by (total number of miles travelled X total number of passengers, in same period).
To determine the average cost per mile for a 34 passenger bus with a 7.3L diesel engine, you would need to consider the current fuel price and the bus's fuel efficiency in miles per gallon (mpg). Calculate the cost of fuel to travel one mile by dividing the cost of a gallon of diesel by the bus's mpg. This calculation will give you an estimate of the average cost per mile based on fuel consumption.
The average hours per year for a boat engine can vary depending on usage and maintenance. However, a typical range is around 50-200 hours per year for recreational boaters. Commercial vessels may log significantly more hours per year, depending on their operation.
The average lifespan of a Mercedes 3.0 liter gas engine can vary depending on maintenance, driving conditions, and usage. However, with proper care and maintenance, these engines can last well over 200,000 miles. Regular oil changes, inspections, and addressing any issues promptly can help maximize the engine's lifespan.

Engine builders are most commonly found in regions with high concentrations of automotive manufacturing or racing industries, such as the United States (especially in states like Michigan, California, and North Carolina), Germany, Japan, and Italy. These regions tend to have a deep history and expertise in engine development and performance tuning.
Do you mean in its entire lifetime? My 87 Cabriolet has gone 210,000 miles without a major engine overhaul and still has its original transmission. I do take very good care of my vehicles but changing the oil every 3000 miles, replacing fluids, checking for worn parts and replacing them where needed. I have no doubt that it can go another 100,000 miles without the need to completely overhaul the engine. Take care of your cars from the beginning and they'll be good to you. My 88 Cab has 115,000 miles and hasn't needed any repairs beyond regular maintainance requirements. Only replaced parts are hoses, belts, etc that have to be changed after certain milage/time milestones as normal wear and tear.
