After the first year 25 - 35 % of medical school students, either drop out or realize that medical school is not for them.

During second year and so on, around 10% of students do not pass and are required or forced to withdraw from their program.

All in all, when you go to med school more than half of the people you meet in your first year will not become physicians.

Approximately 98-99% of medical students graduate with a medical degree. The attrition rate in medical schools is quite low due to the rigorous selection process for admission and the high level of dedication required to complete the program.
