The Aztecs built nothing lasting and invented nothing. They did successfully gain control of an empire that had already existed before they arrived in the area of today's Mexico City. But their power and governance was short-lived; within less than 200 years they were violently deposed by a combination of Spanish conquistadores, the illnesses imported to the New World by them and other Europeans and by previously subjugated tribes who were anxious to throw off the yoke of Aztec oppression. Interestingly, the Aztecs themselves never claimed to have built the megalithic structures found in central and northern Mexico, but admitted that they had been built long before the first Aztecs had ever reached the region.

The Ancient Aztecs were approximaetly in A,E 1300-1500 YEAR. They lived in the Ancient Mexico

War and bloodshed. Whenever the Aztecs fought, it fed their gods. The Aztecs believed their gods were alive so they had to eat too. It was said that if a woman died during childbirth or a man in battle that they would go to the afterlife with honor and grace, like a king. The men were trained to be warriors at a very young age. The Aztecs were very war-like people, because of their gods. Basically, they did everything to please their gods. Human sacrifice was a major one of those things.

The Spanish brought diseases which weakened or killed thousands of native people. Also the Spanish brought big horses that the Aztec were terrified. The third factor was that they had new and stronger armor and weapons.

yes there are still Aztecs alive today. They are descendants of the Aztecs in Mexico and most live in Egypt today because they got carried down the river in a storm and magically ended up in Egypt. There are only about 50 000 left and most of them have Egyptian or spanish blood in them.
