I'm not sure if it would work on cloudy mirrors but try mixing vinegar and water together and sprikle it on your mirrors and with a newspaper, crumple it up into a ball, and start wiping your mirrors with it, newspaper works, trust me. I clean my mirrors with them all the time but i always use water and not vinegar, but I've heard vinegar can do the trick in cleaning class, and mirrors.

i tried this 5 times using a 5 pound kettlebell and each time it lasted only a few seconds before the Bounty paper towel broke, i also tried this on walmart and safeway

brand name paper towels and they all had the same average time(2.3 seconds) so they must have falsified the comercial...imagine that ;)

I have very few tips on how to avoid it, but if you do get the stains, I do have a remedy that works to get them out.

Before I note that remedy, if you are experiencing orange or brown stains as a result of sunscreen, it MAY be due to a reaction between an ingredient avobenzone in the sunscreen product and the iron in the water (hard water, usually).

If the above interaction seems to be what's causing it, then you can try to avoid the stains by not using sunscreen products that have avobensone. There are some very common brands of sunscreen that don't have that ingredient. You just need to read the label. You also need to try to avoid hard water. Get a water softener, etc.

If you do get the stains, here's what's worked for me on some really, really bad sunscreen stains:

1) Buy a bottle of BIZ stain remover (in you local grocery store's detergent aisle). BIZ has enzymes that help remove these "reaction" stains.

2) directly apply a bit of BIZ to the stain and work it into the clothing.

3) Mix 1/4 cup white vinegar and 1/4 cup of biz with hot or very warm water. The vinegar will help neutralize the iron if you have hard water.

4) Let clothing soak in this mixture for a few hours. Periodically check the clothing and if you still see affected areas, gently scrub that area and then let soak longer.

5) Dump soaking clothing in washer and use BIZ in place of your regular detergent and wash with HOT water.

6) At end of wash cycle, check clothing. If stains still exist, do not dry them. Repeat above until they are out.

If it is cloudy because of smudges use mr. clean, holy cow, or just a vinegar and water combination. I have two dogs and by back door is all glass they breathe on it lick it whatever else they do and all three work for me.

Soap further hardens as the water evaporates.

To remove Friar's balsam stains from plastic, you can try wiping the stain with rubbing alcohol or acetone. Gently scrub the affected area until the stain starts to lift. You can also try using a mixture of warm water and mild soap to remove the stain.

Use acetone to wipe down the part for paint preparation. Also, keep in mind the next time that the best way to prep metal parts is to vapor blast them instead of sand blasting them. Vapor blasting uses water and glass beads to hone, clean, and prep parts for any coating or painting application.

To get rid of musty smell from a fur coat, you can sprinkle baking soda on the coat and let it sit for a few hours before gently brushing it off. You can also hang the coat outside in fresh air for a day or two. Avoid using water or heat as it can damage the fur.

You can try airing it out by hanging it outside but I was reading at FurCoats.com that fur clothing with smells or stains should be taken to a dry cleaner or furrier that knows how to clean fur coats and other fur clothing items. I think taking them to a professional might be your best bet since there is really no way you can do it at home.
