With diarrhea, you're losing fluids,(water). You can easily get a bit dehydrated.

Now, fluid loss will look like weight loss if you step on a scale. But it's not a sustainable loss. As soon as you're able to keep stuff in and has had something to drink, your weight will bounce right back to where it was before you got diarrhea.

The nerve is often stimulated when the rectum is full, or during straining to defecate. The vagus nerve stimulation is also one reason many people have heart attacks while straining to defecate.

Plus, fruits contain lots of liquid, so it can help with dehydration, which is a big issue associated with diarrhea. Anyway, feel free to eat that fruit salad.

curd is a nutritious food. it also aids in digestion. lactobacillus bacteria inhibit the growth the growth of illness causing bacteria inside the intestinal tract and promote beneficial bacteria needed for digestion .these friendly bacteria help in absorption of minerals and aid in the synthesis of vitamins of b group.

I have had 12 inches removed from my colon and I have diarrhea after drinking Ensure.

I asked my Gastro doctor and he mumbled something about possible milk allergy (there is still milk protein in Ensure.)

But I have a hard time with his answer because I believe that I can have things like Coffee Mate with out the same problems.

I would recommend against that. Caffeine is a laxative, so it would probably just worsen your diarrhea. If the coffee is caffeine free, it wouldn't do much harm, but it wouldn't do any good either. So, lay off the coffee while you have diarrhea!

Whether or not it is good to eat meat while experiencing diarrhea depends upon what caused it. If you have diarrhea because of a stomach upset, it is probably wise to eat dry, bland foods and increase your intake of water for at least 24 hours.

I'm not immunologist but when an antigen is in the small gi, your body activates complement. This then activates secretory cells to act and alot of fluid from you body goes to try and flush out the bad bacteria. Why would it be red hot though? Is it radioactive?

In a sense you can. Take a laxative or give yourself an enima; turkey baster will work.

You can give a toddler mashed potatoes, bananas, soy milk. You want to give them pedialite solution to rehydrate.

If you mean BOTH vomiting and diarrohea (at separate ends of course) the vet would recommend starving the animal for 24 hours of all solid food but allowing free access to fresh, clean water. After that if symptoms subside the animal can be fed a small bland meal, such as boiled chicken or boiled fish & rice and see how it goes. However if any blood is passed from either end or the animal is in obvious distress, do contact the vet immediately
