However, there ARE bans on owning pitbulls in New York City, IF you live in government housing. If you live in a building operated by the NYCHA (New York City Housing Authority) you can't own a dog that weighs over 25 pounds, and Dobermans, Rottweilers, and all Pitbull breeds are banned completely. As for the rest of New York State: according to Related Link #4, New York is the 12th state to prohibit the passing of BSL (Breed-Specific Legislation). Even though New York State has prohibited the passing of state laws that ban people from owning specific breeds of dog, there are still some areas of New York State that have enacted local laws against pitbull owners. In Larchmont, New York, pitbulls are banned outright, and in Yonkers, NY, owning a pitbull requires insurance coverage of $100,000.

I live in Iowa and I don't think it matters which hand to use because we are no different than people in any other state. I bet we are smarter than you think. Trust me... we don't all live on farms and we definitely aren't hillbillies. About maybe five out of the hundred people in my grade live on a farm. You need to work on your grammar. RAGBRAI, the Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa, is held the last full week of July ever summer. Register's is a reference to the Des Moines Register newspaper a sponsor of the event. The bike ride attracts cyclists from around the globe including numerous cycling clubs and has included such luminaries as Lance Armstrong. The six-day long event leads riders through a multitude of Iowa's city with each church (and in Iowa, there are many) competing to have the best pie in town. The event is so popular that only 10,000 cyclists are allowed in each days 68 mile average run. It is a non-competitive event done simply for the pleasure of the journey. It is a week filled with riding, eating, friends, family and fun. RAGBRAI XXXVII will be the 37th annual event in 2009.

well, you must look at your child. think, is my child mauture enough to stay home alone? remember to tell him/her to not answer the door no matter what, and not answer the phone at all, unless you have caller ID and you or a fiend calls. depending on how old your child is, you shold alow him to play at a fiends house or out in your yard, but not indoors with other children. Also tell your child to come indoors after a certin time, such as when it gets dark. Something that you could do is tell your child to ONLY have fun, such as use the computer, watch cartoons, or play video games to ensure he is too preoccupied to do anything bad. hope this helped.
