I think it is definitely the Mount Royal. When you get on top you can see all of Montreal, and it's a really beautiful place to be, there is a lot of nature. If you come on a Sunday during the summer, there is the drum circle at the parc Jeanne-Mance, right at the foot of the Mount Royal. There is a lot of people goind there to enjoy the atmosphere, drumming and dancing, and there is also some kind of crafts market going on.
If you like amusement parks i would suggest La Ronde, but there are so many better parks that exist in other cities.

The original settlers in Quebec were sometimes referred to as inhabitants. This became shortened to habitants. The original Montreal Canadian jerseys contained a large letter C with a small letter h within the C . People made the mistake of thinking the H meant habitants. The term Habs is derived from this. In actuality the CH stood for Canadiens Hockey Club.

The British captured Montreal in 1760 after years of fighting during the French and Indian War. The British had built forts surrounding French Canada during this time, pressuring the French to surrender. The supports the British colonists received from Parliment and William Penn during this time allowed them to secure their land and right to trade in North America. Soon after the capture of Montreal, the Treaty of Paris was signed, ending the French and Indian War.

More specifically what you would do is you would take AUTOROUTE 40 OUEST to Ontario where it becomes HIGHWAY 417, then (past Ottawa) HIGHWAY 417 WEST becomes HIGHWAY 17. Continue on HIGHWAY 17 WEST. From there, continue on HIGHWAY 17 WEST to Manitoba where it becomes TRANS-CANADA HIGHWAY 1 WEST, then take TRANS-CANADA HIGHWAY 1 WEST to Winnipeg.
