How does a coach motivate their netball team?
There are many ways to motivate your players. Positive feedback always wants to be heard, even if they know they did something wrong, so try to let them down easy. Keep them happy and make them enjoy training sessions. Have Team Talk Nights where the whole team gets together at the captain's house to watch a movie or a game. Before a not so important game, order burgers or something for them as a surprise.
ALWAYS let them know you are proud to be their coach.

What level of the bleep test should elite netball players reach?
if you're trying out for county and you're about 14, then you should aim to get between 8-11 in the bleep test. It all depends on what position you play, I play centre and I'm a level 9.8. Centre's usually have to be the fittest players on court becausethey have to last the whole game. But if you play GS/GK where there isn't much running, then I'd say to aim for level 8.
But make sure you try
your best, don't just stop at level 8 if you could've
done better. The bleep test is mainly about your mental strength, your body can always keep going, you just have to tell it to. When you feel a little discomfort just ignore it and look at the next cone and say to yourself that you'll get there. Never give up, just try your best. Make sure you never stop yourself, but always try to get to the next cone, and if you run out of time, then well at least you tried your best. So pat on the back and well done.
Also, another good way of knowing whether or not you tried your best is that after the test you should be really tired with your hands on your knees and you can't talk to anyone for like 2 mins.
Then, keep walking around to circulate your blood for about 5 mins.
Also try YOUR best, don't just try to be as good as someone else.
Good luck!!!

What is the difference between contact and obstruction in netball?
Both are similar in the fact the person who contacts or obstructs is out of play and the opposing team gets a penalty pass.
Netball is a non-contact sport, so contact means you are touching the player or the ball while the player has the ball.
Obstruction means while defending a player with your arms up, you need to be 3 feet (0.9 metres) away from the player with a ball. If you get called for obstruction you aren't standing 0.9 metres.
For beginners, they tend to not think a lot and move wherever they think is good. Those games last about 10 to 20 minutes.
For indermediate players (like me,) they like to think longer and look for threats and carry out plans. Those games last about 25 to 1 hour.
For advanced players, they think about 5-10 minutes each move on average so those games last 45 minutes to 2 hours.
For champions, chessmasters and grandmasters, thet might think about 10 to 15 minutes a move. Those games might last 2 hours to 4 hours.
The longest game was between two masters and the game lasted for 269 moves and lasted 20 hours and 15 minutes.
