Can you use a computer during Ramadan?

User Avatar
Answer 1 We can use the computer in Ramadan or any other time. What we are prevented from looking at false images and listening to Haraam music. or going to bad websites, etc. Therefor we have to check ourselves if we are doing the right or wrong thing. We have to take care that we don't do bad deeds during Ramadan, especially when we are fasting. Because The Holy Prophet said : "Actions are judged be intentions". Answer 2 You can use a computer but depends what you are doing. These are the things you can do: Work, reading (appropriate books), watching suitable things like islamic videos etc. But you cant: watch films like english films as they have bad bits which could possibly break your fast. This also relates to watching TV unless islamic channels which i advise you do watch. At the end of the day it is Allah you answer to just use your common sense really!

Are you allowed to swear during Ramadan?

User Avatar
no it is not allowed I don't think there is such a rule to swear or not to swear in Ramadan. but one should be careful before swearing because he may have to pay Kafara if he doesnot fulfil it you are not alowed to swear in ramadan, and if you are a muslim then you are not allowed to swear at all in your entire life as it causes bad deeds, and effects your soul There is no rule about swearing in or out of Ramazan. Excessive swearing is not a good habit. However, some times one has to give testimony on oath, then swearing becomes necessary.. However, a Muslim must keep in mind that he has to fulfil his promise, done on oath or otherwise.

What age is it fard to fast in Ramadan?

User Avatar
A child is commanded to pray when he is seven years old, and should be lightly beaten for leaving it when he is ten years old, and it becomes obligatory for him when he attains puberty. Puberty is marked by the discharge of semen accompanied by sexual arousal, the growth of the coarse hair round the pubic area, wet dreams which lead to the discharge of semen, or reaching fifteen years of age. The same applies to the female, in addition to a fourth condition, that is, menstruation. The basic rule in this goes back to the narration of Ahmad and Abu Daawood on the authority of 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb from his father from his grandfather that he said that the Messenger of Allaah, , said: "Command your children to pray when they are seven years old, beat them for leaving it when they are ten years old, and separate their beds." It was narrated by Ahmad on the authority of 'Aa'ishah from the Messenger of Allaah, , that he said: "The pen (of writing deeds) is lifted from three (types of persons): from the sleeping person until he wakes, from the child until he attains puberty and from the one afflicted by insanity until he becomes sane." The same was narrated by him on the authority of 'Ali . It was also narrated by Abu Daawood and At-Tirmithi who said that it is Hasan (good). Permanent Committee of Fatwa, Fatwa no. 1787

Is smoking allowed in roza?

User Avatar
Your roza can only be invalid if food or drinks pass through your esophagus. Therefore using toothpaste is allowed as long as doesn't pass your esophagus. In smoking however, the smoke does pass your esophagus and therefore makes your roza invalid. A huge part of Islam is resistance, which means you have to try to get to as close to perfection as possible even though you'll never be perfect. In the pursuit of perfection, try leave these bad habits. Sorry! The statement "Your roza can only be invalid if food or drinks pass through your esophagus." is not the whole truth. Allah Almighty doesn't want to keep us hungry for nothing. The purpose of Fasting (Roza) is attaining 'Piety' - Taqwa. Taqwa doesn't mean keeping hungry. It is a kind of restraint on our feelings and emotions. There are many sinful activities which make Raza invalid. Answer 2 All of the Ulama(scholars)Of Islam Agree that the Fast/Roza breaks when smoking. The non learnerd do not have the right to make up their own rulings.

What is the importance of Suhoor and Iftar?

User Avatar
Suhoor and Iftar are important to Muslims, especially during the month of Ramadan. Suhoor is a meal eaten before dawn during Ramadan, when a Muslim is obligated to fast. This meal gives him/her energy so that they will be able to function well the rest of the day. Iftar is the meal after Maghrib prayer when Muslims break their fast by eating a large meal. They thank Allah for the food that they have and they eat after they have fasted the whole day, from dawn to sunset.

Are sexual relations allowed during the month of Ramadan if a couple is not fasting?

User Avatar
First of all, fasting is a must during Ramadan. 'O you who believe, siyam (fasting) is prescribed on you as it was prescribed to those before you so that you may become self-restrained.' -Surah Baqarah (2-183) 'He who fasts during Ramadan with faith and seeks his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven; he who prays during the night in Ramadan with faith and seeks his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven; and he who passes Lailat al- Qadr in prayer with faith and seeks his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven.' (Bukhari and Muslim) 'But if anyone is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period should be made up by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put you to difficulties.' --Surah Baqarah So there should not be a reason that the couple is not fasting during Ramadan. The couple MAY, though, have sexual relations after the fast is opened, after sunset and before dawn the next day. This, also, is ONLY allowed if the couple is married.

When can muslims eat during ramadan?

User Avatar
Typically one breaks fast at dusk - or more accurately when one cannot distinguish a black thread from a white thread held up to the night sky. There are also many sensible exemptions from fasting during Ramadan (although one is exhorted to fast at other times) dependent on ones health and similar circumstances such as whether the work one is obliged to carry out would make it dangerous to fast during the heat of the day at the hottest times of the year. Although often interpreted over-literally by those with a particular agenda (And where the people to whom they preach are less than fully literate), the Qur'an is actually quite sensible: as an example - if your town was being besieged by infidel hordes during a Ramadan at the hottest time of the year, you wouldn't want your defenders to perish from dehydration during the fight! Therefore they can postpone their fast.

Answer A pregnant woman is allowed not to fast during Ramadan if the physician finds that fasting would affect her pregnancy and harm her child due to refraining herself from eating the necessary nutritional foods.
