What were the first helium balloons in the Macy's parade?

The 1927 balloons included Felix the Cat, singer/actor Eddie Cantor, a 60-foot tall dinosaur with a group of cavemen, and assorted turkeys, chickens and ducks.
The 1928 parade balloons were made of rubberized silk and filled with a mixture of air and helium, allowing for much larger construction. Some of the balloons introduced in 1928 included a 40-foot blue elephant, a 60-foot tiger, a 50-foot hummingbird, and a new, improved and much bigger Eddie Cantor.
When the parade ended in front of Macy's department store that year, the balloons were released into the air and floated free above the city. Macy's offered a bounty on any parade balloon returned in any condition. Many came back full of holes after children tried to shoot them down with airguns.
The traditional balloon release ended after the 1932 parade, when one of the balloons became wrapped around an airplane wing, causing the plane to crash (no mention of injuries or fatalities).
