Season 4 correlates with the second half of book 3, "A Storm of Swords." Because seasons do not have a 1 to 1 correlation with the books, and later books in the series are lengthy, it is unknown how many seasons of Game of Thrones will be produced.

The Martells of old used a spear as their emblem, but later, when Nymeria wed king Mors Martell, the emblem of Nymeria and the Rhoynar, the sun, was combined with the spear emblem, forming a sunspear. The Sunspear is the emblem of the Martells throughout the A Song of Fire and Ice and the Game of Thrones lore, the spear piercing the sun diagonally, with the base at the top left and the tip at the bottom right.

Will Arya Stark kill Cersei Lannister?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

We don't know.

In the novels, Cersei was given a prophecy, that she would be replaced by a younger, prettier queen (Margaery), that she would have three children, all three would die before her (Joffrey is dead in the novels, Myrcella is also dead in the show) before she herself would be killed by 'the younger brother'.

She suspects it may be Tyrion, but the novels have mentioned at least half a dozen times that of the two twins, Cersei was the first born, Jaime following, so he too is a potential candidate.

The city contains a powerful banking institution, the Iron Bank of Braavos. Also present are the mysterious 'Faceless Men', face-changing assassins who aided the city (in the televised adaptation, they were said to have founded it).

The Brotherhood without Banners are remnants of the force Eddard Stark sent out to capture or kill Gregor Clegane after he pillaged various settlements. Their leader, Berric Dondarion was captured and executed by Lannister forces, but he was resurrected by Thoros of Myr, a worshipper of the Lord of Light. Since then they have been joined by various deserters from the Stark and Baratheon forces, and swear allegiance to no king.
