wow...this is so funny because i had the worst experience with my life involving both of these drugs about two summers ago...

I'm allegedly supposed to be on adderall but since i have no way to pay for medicine a friend of mine would just give me hers, and I'm also "supposed to be on Prozac" as well. and that same friend just happened to be just like me but with insurance!!! well i started taking the adderall xr30 mg (small world huh) and it worked pretty great, my mind wouldn't wander off in class as much and i still had the energy to focus on the b.s. that the American public education system crams down your throat. Then I started taking the Prozac as well, and The mix was the best thing ever, i felt as if i were in a great mood but not a false euphoria like from drugs, funny thing is they're both drugs..LAugh! well any way 3 months into it she stopped getting her meds and i was okay with that. little did I know my body had become used to being full of these drugs and i had an 8 hour panic attack known as akathisia...Impending sense of doom, you can't sit still and you think you're going to die..also the sensation of tiny needles poking you from the inside and out...now don't worry about this with the adderall just worry about it with the Prozac..as most ssrid drugs are known for this suicidal side affect!! but you have a doctor so you shouldn't have to worry about not getting your meds...............!!!!!!! OH and i also don't agree with ssri drugs at not since then...I've also melted most the serotonin out of my brain due to excessive crystal meth and ecstacy use (had to stop,it's bad for you)...so i hope you're way smarter than i am and don't partake in those things..OR atleast can handle depression like a soldier!

Not going to edit the above answer, but I will say this is not the main reason to avoid this combination. Both these medications directly and indirectly affect your heart. Taking them together can result in heart attack. Not many general doctors are aware of or appreciate this fact. Mostly because it is not deadly for everyone. However, the best two options are to either (1) completely stop taking adderall--Prozac can actually help with ADHD symptoms alone and although is not as affective, you will not need the medication as much or (2) at least fall back to a much lower dose. 30 mg is very high. You probably experience anxiety a lot and this is partially induced by the drug. You're anxiety (which can be part of depression) will improve on a lower dose (or off!)

I just gotta ask. Have you ever heard of Google search? You should get your brain checked out, but anyways. Adderall contains Amphetamine. Amphetamine is similar to Desoxy-Ephedrine (MethAmphetamine) It 's used to treat ADD/ADHD mainly, Same goes for MethAmphetamine, you can get a prescription for it. The brand name is Desoxyn.

Ive taken both, and the time release is nothing compared to the tab, the time release after 4hours seems like you need to take another pill while the chemicals in the pill are switchin the time, you take another and another like that and you the time you realize it you've become toxic... When i take the tabs its instant for atleast 5 hours. I havent had a problem becomin toxic unless i chose to have fun..but if taken right you have no problems... ahhh i love adderal tabs and the sex is way better ;-)

By just drinking water. Unlike pot adderall is Extremly easy to flush. Sweating is also very helpful. So if you were to take an adderall in the morning you could be clean that night just by drinking water and sweating.

I sometimes take protein powder after a strenuous workout. I've tried multiple kinds and none have really interacted negatively with my adderall.. does that help at all? I'm sure if you Google search it you would find more help..

First of all, prescription drugs should never be crushed and snorted, especially those for ADD or ADHD. These medications are made to be absorbed over a long period of time and when you break them up, they release medication that was supposed to be relased over a 12 hour period. Think of is this way: how many beers would it take someone to stay drunk for 12 hours? A lot, right? Now what happens if someone drinks all of these in one hour? It is extremely easy to overdose this way.

Concerta actually does NOT need to build up in your system. As stated above, it releases medicine for 12 hours, and is then out of your system. Concerta is a stimulant, so you don't really want that building up in your system.

Concerta does work right away, just like rittalin. You can snort them but if they are time released they will hurt your nose. I've known people who have use vaporizers to smoke concerta, which would make it hit you even stronger than snorting it. Concerta and Adderal both inhibit some of the dopamine from being thrown away.

Its the same type of buzz, but it is diffrent. For example You get hungry on Concerta but that doesnt happen on adderall. But in general its the same speeded up happy feeling. But dont sniff the whole pill peel of the outside layer then just sniff the white and pink part also you need to peel off the clear film from around the pill or it will be all gunky in your nose. Baking soda is a GI alkalinizer *and* urinary alkalinizer, which means it increases the effect and also about doubles the duration of action of amphetamine ~ Have not tried it yet, not sure how much to take.

simply put.. yes. dextroamphetamine (75% of adderall's active ingredients) is very addictive.. even if you don't realize it. It is one carbon and three Hydrogen atoms away from METH. Having said that adderall also contains regular amphetamine, which is nowhere near as fun. I think the 25% of regular amphetamine ruins adderall's recreational usage. Pure dextroamphetamine is much better, but much harder to get a script for. It all depends on your dosing and how long you've been doing that. Also, why you are overdosing can affect withdrawl too. Are you trying to get high or just study real hard? The former will cause more problems. If you're just doubling up once or twice a week, you should be fine... Been buying more and tripling everyday? You'd be in for a few weeks of the blahhh's Life may seem boring and you'll daydream alot if you were takiing it for studying. Personally I am perscribed Dextroamphetamine, which I really like. I usually take a few more than I should when I pick up the new script.... That means I have to take weekends off to make up for it and have enough till next month. Admission: I run out sometimes, and with ADD that makes Anatomy and phisiology really boring!! I have little problem controlling my usage, but I know many who run out, buy adderall off the street, or even move to meth while they're out (especially if they have no med. insurance like me, since meth can be cheaper than doctor visits and perscriptions) Bottom line.. man up! take your meds like your supposta! They will help you through school so you won't be flippin burgers when you're 40. By the way, drugs are bad... unless the government say's its okay

Yes, as long as you don't abuse it. A little bit of amphetamine every once in a while can be a nice boost. Makes you really motivated and talkative and creative. Hard to get to sleep though..
