Adele said in one of her earlier interviews that when she first held a microphone in her hand; she knew that she wanted to sing. She sung as a child for her mother's friends. Her mama would take all the lamps in their home, and set them around Adele to make a pretend stage for her, and then Adele would sing for her mother and for her mother's friends. As a youngster, Adele loved singing the Spice Girl songs. She later was accepted into the Brit School of Arts (?) not for sure if this is the name, but this is where she studied music and produced her first album 19. Home Town Glory was one of her first hit singles in the UK.
